Maximum recommended velocity is also going to depend on other factors. With gases, you may get into creating high noise levels and erosion of the internal surface at velocities above 40-50 ft/sec.

   THANKS,
what is the recomended velocity in line sizing?    in piping hand book, steam velocity is about 50m/s.    but i have seen in some spec. this velocity is between 20 to 30 m/s.

but what is yr recomended velocity same as liquid(3-4 m/s)?    thanks
