What does API RP 521 cover?

Algor, I understand is a generic FEM package. There are tailor made softwares available for pipe element analysis. I am familiar with CAESAR and SIMFLEX.

The original subject question posed was of stress analysis.

Good day Sajit,

API RP 520 ..outlines the basic principles for sizing the relief valves network hydraulics and flare system..it does not touch on the Piping stress analysis..a good software (you may have used already) for stress analysis is (ALGOR)..check it on ALGOR.COM (do'nt mix it up with AL GORE ) !!

How is it related to the pipe stress? API RP 521, does it also deal with pipe stress analysis.
