Hi Steve,
I haven's found a site that says very much about the plant. Hendrina is owned by Eskom, and there is a very brief summary of the station on the Eskom site.
I am involved in refurbishment of the main steam lines; designing restraints and writing procedures for cutting out and replacing sections that have reached the end of their creep life. All done to BS806, not that we are particularly interested in the stresses, but analysis of the Hot Stress case will give predicted movements due to cold pulls. Although, after 30 years service there probably isn't much cold pull left in the system.

What are you working on just now? What do you want to know regarding conventional generation? I spend most of my time working on nuclear plant, so would you trust any information from me ?

Hey Barbara
is there a website that describes your plant?
Have got a bit out of date on conventional generation, so a brush up would
be appreciated.
Cheers
