Hi Iman

B31 deals with initial design and not failure or repair which is disappointing, but understandable. However B31.1986 (I am too stingy to buy a newer version) has a covering section in clause 104.7.2 (c) ; " extensive and successful performance experienced under comparable service conditions....... ......may be used as the basis of acceptability.)" I believe other B31 codes have similar clauses. You should read carefully before deciding what to do, and check with your boss.

Cheers
