For those of you that read these CAD-related magazines,

<<Will CADENCE still be printed? For how long?

The last issue of Cadence will be their November issue. December Cadalyst will be the first issue as the merged title. This acquisition also signifies the changing dynamics in publishing. With so many avenues for content delivery, Cadalyst is about market access and audience creation through the Cadalyst brand which encompasses print, digital, online, email newsletters, and webinars.>>

Looks to me like there's not enough advertising money out there in the CAD industry to support both of these glossy, high-profile magazines. I see as most important the quote, "With so many avenues for content delivery...", meaning the internet.

I've read both these publications in the past, and gotten employers to pay for the subscriptions. "Cool!, a new magazine to read!". Most of the articles seemed to be always about how to automate common AutoCAD tasks with the occasional specialty application thrown-in. There were never any in-depth articles of the commonly-used piping design software.
