Most things that have "WOW" factor are extremely large, i.e. offshore
platforms installed in the north sea, etc. I think it is just as
interesting to show the extremely small or compact, i.e. tiny bioreactor
systems and all the work that goes into fitting so much crap into such
small places. How about a "junkyard wars" type of show for the piping
designer? I've seen hydraulics experts on shows like monster garage,
but they are mostly fabricators not designers.

Subject: Re: [PipingDesign] Piping on TV
Management of projects might be a little beyond the scope, but I'm sure
it
could be covered in a basic sense (I.E. difficulties with organizing
large
projects, logistics).
I don't know where subsea and offshore would fit, but those definitely
go
into the "cool" section along with underwater pipe welding.
Stress analysis issues also should be covered, but not too technical.
This
wouldn't be an instructional show, just informational (and hopefully,
inspirational).
Thanks,
Paul
