Pneumatic driven check valve(control valve) for process air to reformer, soft internals of actuator are getting damaged (become brittle) and being replaced in every shutdown.

         The internals like bushing guide,(made of Teflon),Rod wiper ,seal ring case for case(Rubber),wear strip(teflon),U-cup,seal ring piston (Rubber) are getting damaged due to high temperature .

         The temperature of process air is 520 C. this may be due to heat conduction through spindle to actuator.

       TEFLON can take 250 C max. TEFLON can be replaced with TEFZEL. If any body has faced such kind of experience please send suggestions.
