Use of composite pipe materials in the transportation of natural gas and oil

Dear All

We have been asked to work on a project ''Use of composite pipe materials in the transportation of natural gas and oil'' as a partial requirement of the course Advance materials in our Grad Studies here at Concordia University. wat we have learnt so far is that various composite and plastic pipes are used in Gas flow lines , distribution lines , gathering lines, however, high pressure in gas transmission lines restricts the use of GRE or GRP piping, can any one on this forum help to provide any info ragarding the subject matter, basically ,we have to justify the use of Composite piping for transportation of natural gas and oil, any help on this shall be highly appreciated.
