It always amazes me that people join lists and then don't know how to get off them.
Over the past few months there have been many bogus attempts to join the list that usually come from yahoo.com addresses. Once approved, usually the content of the messages from these scam/spammers is something like "New pics uploaded", with a URL to click. I suspect these attempts are to trick virus-unprotected subscribers into visiting a malicious website. Legitimate subscribers don't see these messages because PipingDesign has a no-spam policy and I delete them. If you've been on the list for a while and have contributed, you are taken off moderated status and are free to send messages without my moderation/approval.
I feel this is a better solution than having the list turned into a free-for-all spamfest. If you are just a lurker, your messages will be moderated.
