OGF: Non-Piping Related

What does the readership think about an occasional non-piping, but technical email from Our Glorious Founder ("OGF" also resolves to "One Goofy Fellow")?

I try to keep track of what's going on in the technical world and every now and then I come across something that might be of interest, but not specifically oriented to the piping design world.

Things like:

• advancements in digital camera technology (useful for photogrammetry?)
• CAD stuff and happenings (NOT press releases/ads/rumours - that would violate my own stated mandate)
• my recent condemnation of HTML-enabled email
• possible SPAM solutions

Just a few examples. Typically, I read as much as I can on any new subject and try to filter out the noise, but I wouldn't want to abuse my position here.

Feel free to shout me down on this proposal, I'm not about to force anything on the readers.
