From what I've seen/read, the RAF would have never survived in the first place were it not for overseas support.

The Spitfire was able to outfight the Bf-109 mainly because the German planes didn't have enough fuel to maintain the fight. Once the American Mustangs showed up, it was all over for Germany, since they (Mustangs) were flying out of British bases and had tons of fuel, weapons and support. That was a no-brainer, since America at the time was cranking out war machinery at a rate that had never been seen before. 5 Shermans needed to knock out a Tiger? No problem, on the way.

The potential of America is amazing.
