Hi Paul
I have already got it, so its all too late.
Checked the price/yield of cartridges and Canon are about the same as HP at
the sizes I am interested in. Also the Canon came with a "free" spare set of
cartridges i.e. two sets.
Letterheads? What are they? Most of my engineering correspondence is either
by email or on the back of fag packets. Clients seem to prefer Benson and
Hedges.
Colour I use mainly for clarity reasons e.g. a graph with lots of curves on it, and occasionally CAD. The biggest reason is making pretty pictures when I am goofing off.
Out of the box, the Canon colour is not as good as the HP, but I havent fiddled with settings yet.
Have you got a copy of zapgrab 2? It lets you grab images straight off the screen to your clipboard. Image quality/resolution is a little poor, but its free off the net and images can be improved with any of the image processing/photo packages.
Cheers
Steve

This one

I guess.
Do you print engineering documents in colour or is this used as a multi-purpose printer (letterhead, photos, etc.)? Like you say below, the cost of cartridges for bubble-jets can be a real issue.
