Please explain the total situation and it may take
hardly 3-4 lines more. Now you see, I am presuming
that you are talking about the heat exchanger saddle
supports. In medium & high temp heat exchangers one of
the saddled are fixed to the foundation and the other
one is movable in the bolt hole slot provided in
saddle bottem pad.Am I correct in my assumption?
Then the answer is that you keep the fixed one at the
side where you wish to pull the bundle out, to
transfer all the bundle pulling force to the
foundation bolts at the fixed saddle and do not stress
the shell and other nozzles unnecessarily.
This is one logic. may be you have other thoughts,
please elaborate.
