   Does anyone know of an individual or company that are considered to be process specialists in natural gas distribution? My preferred location is Eastern Canada and even better Quebec.

we do a lot of pH correction in waste water plants and cooling
towers. here are a few things you might consider:
1> Commercial grade sulfuric acid generally contains sludge and
particulate picked up in the acid plant and transportation system. Design
your system to either remove or successfully pass these impurities. This
causes most problems with positive displacement pumps.
2> Steel is commonly used for handling concentrated sulfuric acid (greater
than 90%). The metal is generally considered to be resistant by virtue of
the iron sulfate film, formed on the surface of the steel as a result of
the iron/sulfuric acid corrosion reaction. (Initial corrosion rates are
high until continuity of the iron sulfate film is established.). Those
areas which are subject to high velocities, such as valve trim and pump
check valves, are fabricated from alloy components.
3> Design the system to keep the pipes full up to the point of
injection. This will maintain the iron sulfate film mentioned above. At
the point of injection, this will not be possible. Also at the point of
injection the acid will likely be diluted by the adjacent waste water. For
this reason, fabricate the injection piping from plastic, Alloy-20, or
Hast-C.

4> The pH of the stream will be depressed at the point of injection. This
depressed pH can corrode the floor of a concrete basin or structure. We
generally install a dilution trough fabricated from marine lumber or
plastic with a separate source of dilution water. With the large volumes
of water involved, heat dissipation is typically not a problem.
