I suspect the one involving the ratio of specific heats is for adiabatic
(rapid) pressure changes and the other is for isothermal (slow) pressure
changes. Taking another guess, the formulas look to be developed for
specific use by two different companies, and may have built in safety
factors or limits accordaing to company usage. Assuming you've done the
arithmetic correctly, they're probably both right but apply to different
circumstances.
I have no idea what you're trying to do, but I don't think I'd do it, if it involves pressurization of a large volume of gas and I didn't understand exactly where those formulas are meant to be used and ahere they came from.
