I can tell you that there is a modified API-607 fire test for gaskets (API-607, 4th edition, modified) that is commonly called the "Exxon Fire Test". The valve is replaced by a spool piece. The gasket is burned for 30 minutes whilst 30 psig water inside the pipe is measured for leakage. At the end of the 30 minute burn the spool piece is immediately quenched with water and then pressure is increased in increments over a short time duration. I think the final pressure is 250 psig.

The test is a pass/fail. If leakage more than 100 ml/min is detected it fails. Less than this, it passes.
