I don't know, it's difficult enough as it is to find advertisers/sponsors. Expecting people to pay for access would seem to be counter-productive (cost of running the system to accept and track small payments, distribution of payment to providers of information, etc.), since it's unlikely that anything beyond a couple of bucks/month would be too much and would likely scare away many since there are other non-fee forums out there.
Let's say Steve makes a suggestion to Joe Schmoe that results in Schmoe Inc. saving $10,000. Will Joe likely send Steve 5% of the savings? How would we know if the proposed solution was implemented and was successful?
I agree with the idea, maybe others have more insight.
