Paresh,

This is because the process guys think that they need to have the larger size to reduce the pressure drop in the line whereas the pump manufacturer thinks the smaller size is enough for the flow. Therefore we guys have to put in the reducer to match the 2.

I wonder what happens to the flow with ecc red in the suction. The pump manufacturer suggests a straight length of 7D u/s of the suction nozzle. The flat top ecc red is at the pump suction nozzle.

Suggest that you use a more appropriate subject for your mail.
