Dear Rommel,

For a first class jointing job on solvent weld UPVC all joints need to be primed prior to gluing. Upon insertion, a twisting motion up to 90 degrees should be employed, use a high pressure solvent cement (do not use if out of date). The joints should not be rough handled for at least 10 minutes and this time should be longer in colder temperatures (below 10 degrees). The pipeline should not be pressurised for at least 24 to 48 hours. All male pipe ends should be chamfered and debured prior to cementing and insertion.

Cheers

Robin.
