Re: SOFTWARE FOR PIPE THICKNESS CALC

AutoPIPE rates the pipe schedule selected for the required design pressure and temperature for the pipe diameter and spec as opted. You may input the pipe thickness as user value and the software calculate the hoop stress and compares it with allowable stress value. You may iterate by inputing teh thickness and obtain the required thickness for the service. Sine the pipes are available in a standard size, Nom Dia and Schedule, you may go on inputing the schedule and get the one which starts becoming safe for the design condition. It is simple as that.
