Dear GET Mithapur
Let me restate my previous point. You cannot substitute 2 x 16 mm plates for a 30 mm plate, if 30 mm thickness is a strength /stiffness requirement. But if you use a different design (as somebody already suggested) e.g. a 16 mm tube sheet with stiffeners to get sufficient strength/stiffnes it should be possible. Of course you will have less space avaiable for HX-tubing and find a way to size your tube sheet with stiffeners,
