If you go to http://ask.pipingdesign.com/ and make a comment to an
existing story, you should see a checkbox at the bottom that says
"Subscribe to comments". This should send you an email notifying you of
when someone replies to that particular topic. Of course, you have to
enter a valid email address in order for this to work, but it won't
display your real email address, and it seems to work well. I need some
of you to test it further, though.
If you go directly to
<a href="http://ask.pipingdesign.com/index.php?p=16#comments">http://ask.pipingdesign.com/index.php?p=16#comments</a> you'll see comments
3 and 4. Both are from me, but 4 is from an account I created to
validate that my email would not be displayed. The system is quite
flexible as far as I can see.
Next I'll be working on how to post to ask.pipingdesign.com via email for those of you that don't like the new web-based format of discussion.
