Dear Danish,

            You must have heard it as a commercial term.Because the Pipe works within the plant(power and Process) is called "Piping".

            The cross country and other long distance pipe lines(For eg:To bring Diesel fuel from Port to power plant for 200 Km distance)is called as "Pipe line".
