OT: Re: spamattack

Further on this topic, it seems like there is little that can be done about the growing problem of spam in general. I checked-in on my email mid-Saturday and deleted about 200 messages from the Friday before. When I logged-in today (Monday AM) there were 457 messages, of about only 35 of which were non-junk and offensive.

With the PipingDesign list, I can keep spam out of your email inboxes only as long as a spammer doesn't subscribe and harvest your addresses by subscribing to PipingDesign quietly and grabbing the address. If that happens, there's not much I (or anyone else) can do about it. Every other mailing list at Yahoogroups and other discussion list providers has the same problem.

The worst thing about spam is that it angers people and puts them off email communication simply because some idiots choose to abuse the form of communication.

I'll probably post more about this later as addendums to this message.
