Pete,

We use some software called mail washer that allows you to log on to your server, view your mail and the text without down loading. An added bonus is that you can toss out all the spam and associated crap before you actually down load to your terminal. If you didn't down load at work these messages would still be available for you when you were at home. I realise this is not a perfect solution, however, it may assist you in the interim. The mail washer program is free off the net and works very well, we have used it for the last 18 months.
