Has everyone designed a spring can so that the can is under bare
piping only? (Most of the design I've seen is either base support or
a shoe support welded to pipe first)
I'm designing a NG system (control station) which has limited head room, so I'm thinking delete the base support and let the pipe sit right on the top of the can, and the can will be bolted to the base plate on the concret foudation.
