Steve and Chris got me thinking about old technology again.
Do any of you actually still have working drafting tables? In a pinch, could they be used if the machines went out for a few weeks? Remember that the guys that fabricate and install what you design are largely not dependant on computer technology.
I'm still interested in a challenge whereby a gang of old farts with pencils (plus internet/email) compete against the guys with way-cool computers and expensive software.
Fair rules would have to be set beforehand of course, and the race would be to provide a correct drawing to the field for fabrication/installation.
