I had work on methanol plant construction 8 years ago.
You may go to www.lurgi.de as process licensor for some general
information, I remember all connections to reactor, furnace and column are
butt welded, it should be high pressure.
There are also some special pipe, CS with pipe SS liner and there is 2"
thickness ceramic between CS and SS pipe.
