Do you think maybe your professors were expecting you to discover that specifying Sch. 70 is something that should not be bothered with in the first place?
I'm sure there are a few foundries that will custom make Sch. 70 for you (assuming you need thousands of metres of it and have an appropriate budget). I don't mean to be too blunt here, but after it's delivered -probably before- you'll likely be fired.
I'm reminded of people specifying reducing elbows here. Sure, thay are available, but unless you have a specific need for a lot of them, you're better off just using the low-tech solution.
Hmmm. Maybe PipingDesign.com could become profitable by selling reducing eccentric flanged short-radius elbows (F.O.T. and F.O.B. versions).
