Steve,
As usual you are correct, no we don't colour code our pipes but we do lay marker tapes over them to indicate the contents. This is mainly for treated effluent reuse water that is for irrigation. I was actually quoting from our AS 1345 "Identification of the contents of pipes, conduits and ducts" if you can believe that.
As usual, our Aussie workers are nowhere near as well dressed as our New Zealand colleagues, but our boys can play good cricket Old Chap.
