Hi Safdar;

Inside ASME B16.47 there are 2 types of flanges,

• Series A that specifies flange dimensions for general use flanges.
• Series B specifies flange dimensions for compact flanges.
• In general, Series B have smaller bolt circle diameters than Series A flanges.
• These two series of flanges are not interchangeable..
• The user should recognize that some flanged valves, equipment bolted between flanges, and flanged equipment may only be compatible with bolt circle diameter of one series of flanges.

Hi,

I'm working for a Piping Design Software company. One of our clients wanted us to implement B 16.47 B to our software. At the ASME site only 16.47 is available. There is no mention of 16.47 B saperately. Is this a saperate standard or a subsection of 16.47. I need to know this before placing the order.
