<<TransCanada Corp. said on Wednesday it is planning a $1.7 billion
heavy crude oil pipeline to Illinois from Alberta in a departure from
its tried-and-true main business of transporting natural gas.
TransCanada, the country's biggest pipeline company, said it aims to capitalize on growing supplies of heavy oil from oil sands by converting one of its gas lines to move crude and building new lines to refineries in the United States.>>
