Dear All,

As I understand Rigid Strut is nothing but rigid rod which can take compressive loads also. On the other hand as per Lisega Catalogue one of the important function of a Rigid Strut is "to absorb shock load in a piping system from unexpected load events."

So please educate me how a rigid strut can shock loads?

And in case it can take shock loads then what is the difference between a Rigid Strut and Shock Absorber / Snubber.

Looking forward to your replies.
