Dear all,
Large size pipes do not necessarily hold high
pressures. The sizes under reference, in all
probabilities would be working in less than or near 10
bar situation. Obviously, miter bends are the
solutions to such cases.
I have known about a sea cooling water pipeline having
2825 mm diameter in Qatar. Big sizes do exist. In
future, still bigger sizes may be required for such
applications. Large size pipes are never bent to suit
the shapes, the required configurations are achieved
by mitering.
Cheers!
