Hi Omid!
Greetings from California! On the wastewater wet well submersible pumps I have sized, wahat you have described is the system I use. I make sure that there is sufficient volume in the wet well such that the pump will not operate for more than say, 6 times an hour, at peak flows. I also take a look at the solids handling capability of the pump, given that all sorts of crud can get into the wet well. I know Flygt makes pumps that have the capability to handle 3" solids, but I am getting in above my head now on this stuff, if I were you, I would give the local pump vendor that sells wastewater pumps a call....
good luck....

Hi all
In pump selection procedure in sewgae, I know that the recommended frequency for
pump operation is 6 times in hour also I have calculated sump volume to be sure
about 30 min retention time at maximum and I chose 4 pumps to pump 570 l/s
sewage and Head is 4.2 m.( I chose ITT Flyght 3125 CP/CT/CS)
My question is how can I find that this pump is apprpriate for my job, will it
starts 6 times in hour? retention time will be 30 min with my pumps? how can I
answer these question?
appreciate your contribution.
Omid
