Jijoy,
It used to be NOMINAL BORE, NB previously, but now, it is NOMINAL PIPE SIZE, NPS. Both mean the same thing, particularly in the inch system.
When it comes to the metric system, it is DN in mm referring to NOMINAL DIAMETRE.
Hope things are a bit more clear!
