RE: Fixed Tube Bundles

Hi Paul
Edirector has said it all
Fixed bundles/tubesheets are normally used for low cost or for extra high temperatures.
Con reducers may be specified to promote even flow distribution at the inlet; as tube erosion is aften a big concern with exchangers. Also they are cheap, readily available and you cant accidentally install then upside down.

Now I have a question:

Urgently require a construction price index (ideally for northern Indian Ocean rim area) covering the Years 2000 to date.   An updating a $US30M estimate that I did some years back, and only have today to do it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

Subject: [PipingDesign] Fixed Tube Bundles

Does anyone know the exact cleaning procedure for bundles? Why would a fixed bundle be specified?

Related is another question:

Why would tubeside channel covers/bonnets feature a concentric reducer on the piping inlet/outlets rather than an eccentric F.O.B.?
