ALGOR has a module called Pipeplus that does pipe stress analysis
similar to CAESAR-II. You're referring to ALGOR FEA which does
Finite element analysis. As for the questions about disadvantage of
on software over the other, IMO, is the comfort level of use. One
software maybe better than the other in terms of features (graphics,
speed, accuracy, price, etc). CAESAR-II is the benchmark for Stress
analysis s/w but it doesn't handle FEA.
