Hello,

As per my experience , Butt welded joints are preferable at high pressure....pressures more than 100 bar.

joints

Hi all,

Has anybody seen any reference about comparing between socket weld and butt-weld joints?
Which one is more safe in high pressure services? and what is the reason to
select each of them?
And also which one has more strength ?

Tx,
Mahnoush
