You never really know--the best way to find out is pick one, and if you
like it, pay the shareware fee. I've used some pretty fancy Mac
shareware of this sort with the Mac, and been very pleased. Other stuff
looks like someone's senior project and it isn't much use at all.
One thing you might want to consider is a program to figure section properties for general cross-sections. I'm sure I saw such a program in that list. Figuring the moments of inertia and section moduli of something cobbled up from rolled shapes really uses up a lot of time. The arithmetic isn't exotic, but it sure eats into a day.
