Padmaja,

You need to contact Borealis or Driscopipe to find out what they currently manufacture. there are different grades of this material and this is related to their pressure rating. In addition the pressure rating is highly dependent upon the wall temperature.

If the pipe is to be buried, which ia large diameter will most likely be, you also have to consider the combined soil/pipe as a structure, external susained and occassional loads. Thus the work by Moser and Watkins should be researched.

Large diameter PE piping is complex in design and installation.
