Thomas,
I have used centrifugal pumps to pump flotation froth in a coal plant. This product is the coal fines that are floated in a bath tyo separate them from the higher density shale. The pumps used were Warman pumps designed for a slurry. The technique used to handle the froth was to insert a DN50 pipe right into the pump suction. The pipe would then go vertical for several meters about the flotation cells. The idea was that the pipe "burped" the suction. Well it did work and we were able to pump the froth to cyclones for thickening.

would appreciate your input on a system design... we have a 5000 gallon tank which we use as a sparging vessel. it generates a highly aerated water solution which we need to pump out of the vessel.
