And if you work in a firm say like an EPC, you dont even need a calculator or a spreadsheet since the PIping Spec already addresses this issue. Economics, ensuring the mechanical integrity and early completion is whats driving it. Can u imagine doing the calc for every line in sveral different process in a plant? In case u did, When can u submit the whole ensalada? By the time youre done, the cost of gas has already risen many times over.
