Mani,
Id youre just going to use a flange for your project, you dont
really need to design it. Selecting it based on PT rating and
service then buying is a more quicker/economical option.
And if you still want to figure out the flange ins/out, steer away
from taylor forge (a copy can be had, check out eng-forums). What
ive used before (not for piping, but for a big heat exchanger) is
the method illustrated in Design of Procees Equipment by Kanti
Mahajan. Chapter 2 may interest u - its all about Flange Design.
