Hello all,
I am looking into Pressure Pipe Inspection Company's Sahara inspection system to inspect a potable water transmission main. In short the technology is parachuting an aqua-phone down a live transmission main pulling a drag line which sends the signal back for realtime processing and is used for removal. As a leak is detected the line is stopped at the leak and sensor can be located from the surface for future repairs.
Does anyone know of other companies with similar technology or does anyone know a generic name for this technology that can be googled (I have not had any luck)? Does anyone have any positive/negative experience with this?
Thanks,
Ivan
