Queries on compressor

Sir,

I had a query on compressor.
Suppose I have a reciprocating compressor which I have been observing that it's consuming much less power than it's rated. Hence it is running under part load condition. But it's known that a reciprocating compressor consumes greater power than what it should have consumed under that loading.
It is also known that under part load condition some of the cylinders are   automatically shut off so as to consume less power. My question is how can I establish this that during the entire run of a compressor for a week's time ...

  1. It had run ___ hrs under full load condition( all cylinders in operation)
  2. Under part load condition __ hrs ( some cylinders were not in operation)
  3. Under part load conditions how much is the power consumption greater than compared to a partly loaded screw compressor.

Is there any particular way I can really know that within a certain   duration exactly N nos. of the cylinders were not in operation?   If I want to make a entire chart on the working pattern of compressors(   loading pattern)for a certain period how can I do that?
