Underground piping is under the scope of Civil Department and consequently piping drawings are produced by the department in the form of orthographic drawings (i.e. plans & elevations dwgs). Underground piping may be included in the PDS model depending on the complexity of the whole design job to easily check the interference between the piping, underground cable duct, equipment foundation, etc.

   However, design procedures is constantly evolving with the advent of design software such that scope of work conventions may have changed too.
