Hope you still remember me. First, here's wishing you a very merry Christmas.

We have a query regarding the usage of friction in supports during the calculation of stresses.

As far as we are aware, ASME B31.1 do not have the requirement that friction in supports should be considered for checking the stresses in the system. Hence, what do you normally advise in such cases? Do we need to condider the same in our calculations?
