I have been using Roark for almost forty years, many years doing hand calc's and with the UTS-program since it has been around. I think it is a good buy. It saves time and greatly reduces the risk of making numerical mistakes. The input is quite easy and intuitive. For me the price is well worth it and I have bought the update from Roark 6th Edition to the 7th and am still happy with it. Only the 7th edtion book has become so thick that it soon fell apart. If you have any questions let me know
