Hi All,
My experience with Apple customer service is so bad I will not buy a Mac even to get back at Bill Gates. It took four months of arguing with their techinical department to even allow me to send the product back tot hem for a warranty claim. They returned , at my cost, saying no they wouldnt honour the warranty and if I didnt like it take it up with concumers affairs.
As far as I am concerned "Apple are lemons". It is all "give and take" with Apple. You give they take. Mind over matter. They dont mind and you dont matter!
I beleibe that most Apple addicts do so just to get back at Bill. I can understand this attitude.
Algor have re written their code for Intel 64bit computers. Isnt that the way to go? It supports Linux 64 bit operating system. I dont know if this new Lemon offering is 32 or 64 bit but I bet there intention is that "bit" should be read as "bite" because that is what they will do to you.
Another supplier to my business Canon are totally different. So to give some balnce so you donmt think I am just a whinging Pom here goes.
My Canon S50 camera power supply went Kaputt. Canon couldnt get the part in a reasonable time so offered me a brand new S80 for the cost of the repair. You can bet if I need any computer item, and Canon make it, where I will shop.

It's best for people who prefer Macs but can't switch because they need
to run legacy Code--like me. It's silly to buy a Mac just to run
Windows. If you're used to Windows and aren't worried about stability
or security issues or may feel like you just don't want to hurt Bill
Gates' feelings stick with your Dell or what-have-you. The best use for
Boot Camp is for accessing one or two programs that you can't get in
usable Mac versions and using the Mac for everything else.
There are two theories floating around--1. that developers will quit offering Mac versions and the Mac OS will become legacy Code for die hards. 2. that windows users will get a look at a really good operating system and start demanding Mac versions of Windows apps--then Windows will become the new COBOL.
